From Queenstown we head east, following the mighty Kawarau River into Central Otago gold mining and wine country.

From the air, view the tortured yet beautiful landscape sculpted by miners in their sluicing for gold from more than 100 years ago. More recently the rich soil has been transformed into vineyards and is world renowned for producing premium quality wines.

Arriving at Mt Difficulty Winery in Bannockburn, enjoy wine tasting and lunch at a comfortable pace*. On your return to Queenstown, enjoy a scenic alpine landing to capture some truly memorable photographs.

This flight also makes a great alternative on days when weather prevents us from flying to Milford Sound.
