Heli Fishing & Hunting in New Zealand

Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters are available for charter throughout the remote areas of the South Island for New Zealand fly fishing and New Zealand trophy hunting trips.

We have exclusive landing rights to some very special places!

New Zealand Fly Fishing
Within minutes of take-off, you will land at a pristine stream with an experienced fishing guide and be casting a dry fly to feisty brown and rainbow trout.

We can provide a drop-off and pick-up service, or alternatively, the helicopter and pilot can be available for the entire day so that you can sample different fishing locations in one day. Gourmet hamper lunches can be arranged.

The season for fly fishing in New Zealand is November through May.

New Zealand Hunting Charters
Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters offers a full guiding service to some of New Zealand's premier free range hunting locations in the Fiordland and South Westland regions.

Trophy game includes Fallow bucks, European chamois, Himalayan thar as well as small game. The New Zealand hunting season is year around, but best from April through August, during rutting season. Again gourmet hamper lunches can be arranged.

Wilderness New Zealand fishing and hunting charters are customised to your specifications and prices are on application.

Complimentary Transfers
A courtesy coach is available to pick up and drop off passengers in the Queenstown area.

Minimum Numbers
All heli fishing & heli hunting charters are subject to a minimum of two adult passengers.
